INSTRUCTIONS
Crispy on the Outside, Creamy on the Inside: Our Air Fryer Potato Balls are cheesy perfection, creating a golden, crispy crust while keeping the inside soft, fluffy, and creamy. The contrast in texture makes every bite a treat for your taste buds. Created by Mouthful Studios we just know you are going to love these!
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boiling temperature. Boil the peeled and chopped potatoes until tender. Remove, and pat them dry.
- Mash the potatoes until lump free, and then add in the cornflour, 50g parmesan and chives combine (keep the remaining parmesan for serving).
- Chop the mozzarella into small cubes, approximately 1.5cm wide.
- Whisk the egg in a small bowl, and make sure the potato chips are finely crushed and in a seperate bowl.
- Taking a large tbsp of the potato mixture, flatten out int he palm of your hand. Add a cube of the cheese into the centre, and roll into balls, ensuring the cheese is well covered.
- Dip in the egg to coat and then roll in the crushed chips, making sure they are evenly coated.
- Repeat with remaining potato mixture until you have approximately 20 balls ready for cooking.
- Spray with a little cooking oil, and then bake in the air fryer at 170º for 10-12 minutes, until golden and crispy. Ensure you turn them over half way to help keep the cheese in the centre and they are evenly cooked.
- Whilst the balls are cooking, melt the butter in a frying pan and add the garlic, herbs and salt, gently cooking until the garlic has mellowed.
- Turn off the heat, and once the balls are done, brush the garlic butter over each one, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Sprinkle over the remaining parmesan and serve immediately!
