Crispy Parmesan Potatoes by CheatMeats

  • 1 kg small/medium potatoes (4-6 potatoes)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups Parmesan cheese grated
  • Olive Oil
  • Handful of Fresh Italian parsley chopped

INSTRUCTIONS


Try this viral trend using WA Potatoes to make Crispy Parmesan Potatoes as shown by CheatMeats – crispy, crunchy and moreish.

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius
  2. Slice 1 kg of potatoes into halves and then place in a pot of water
  3. Season with salt and bring to a boil simmering for roughly 15 minutes
  4. Once they are fork-tender remove them from the pot and strain
  5. Place baking paper on a large sheet pan then drizzle with olive oil
  6. Sprinkle one and a half cups of Parmesan cheese – spreading flat creating a thin layer on the baking paper covered tray
  7. Sprinkle half a cup of chopped fresh Italian parsley over the cheese
  8. Placed the potatoes face down on the Parmesan cheese creating a flat layer
  9. Lightly drizzle olive oil over the top and then place into a preheated oven to 200° for roughly 30 minutes
  10. Once the cheese has crisped up removed from the oven and allowed to cool and harden for 10 minutes
  11. Place a chop chopping board over the top and then gently flip and remove the baking paper
  12. Serve straight away

 

 

TIP: Add your favourite herbs and spices to enhance the flavour of this dish.
