Steak Loaded Smoked Spuds by CheatMeats

Serves 4-6 people

INGREDIENTS


  • 4-6 large potatoes
  • 4 steaks (pick your favourite cut)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Handful of cheddar cheese
  • Handful of mozzarella cheese
  • Sprinkle of Parmesan cheese
  • Knob of butter
  • Sour cream to serve
  • Fresh parsley chopped to serve

INSTRUCTIONS


Treat yourself to these mouth-watering Steak Loaded Smoked Spuds made by CheatMeats – loaded with local goodness!

  1. Place 4-6 large potatoes on a wire rack and then into a smoker or oven set to roughly 140 C for 1.5-2 hours.
  2. Once the potatoes have softened remove and slice down the middle.
  3. Squeeze the potatoes gently to create a pocket in the middle.
  4. Season with salt, add a knob of butter, and plenty of cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese lightly over the top and place back into the oven or smoker until melted while you grill the steaks to your liking.
  6. Remove potatoes from the oven or smoker and slice your steaks.
  7. Load the spuds up with sliced steak, and a dollop of sour cream, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

 

 

 

TIP: These are a meal unto themselves! Serve with a little side-salad for extra nutrition .
