Food waste is a big problem these days, but we can all do out bit to try and use up what we buy from the shops.
Potatoes are high in essential vitamins and minerals, low in fat and a potent source of antioxidants. Potatoes bring far more to the table than just carbohydrates! So let’s make the most of our spuds and make our food and budget go further – here are some great tips to waste fewer potatoes.

- Don’t peel your potatoes – level up the nutritional quality of your spuds and reduce your waste by keeping the peel on.
- If you DO feel the need to peel, then save your peels and give them a quick toss in olive oil and salt and throw them in the air fryer for 5-10 minutes for a delicious, crispy snack. Or else, they are great for adding to a pot with other peels to make veggie stock.
